Jar Scone Mix Information

We take great pride in our scones and want you to love them as much as we do. We know that some times baking can be tricky! The below information will help to ensure you have great results.

We hope you enjoy our scones!

Veronica & Kim

* Sour cream consistency can vary greatly between brands. Some are very thick and some have more liquid. This can greatly affect your scones! We recommend starting with 1 1/4 cup of sour cream adding more if needed, up to 2 cups. Your dough should be thick but not too wet.

* Oven temperatures and times may need to be adjusted depending on your oven. Always check your scones before removing them they should be lightly browned and not feel wet to the touch.

* High or low humidity can greatly affect your baking. High humidity causes more moisture in the air which means you need to lessen your sour cream and possibly increase your baking time. Low humidity may mean you need to increase your sour cream and decrease your time.

* If you are baking your scones in high altitude, please remember you may need to add more sour cream and lessen the baking time.

Quick Quiche FAQ

Do I have to store my quiche in the freezer until I am ready to re-heat?

We recommend that you re-heat the quiche from frozen for best results. If you are unable to keep your quiche frozen you can re-heat your quiche at the same temperature but the re-heating time will be approx. 13-18 min.

My quiche is defrosted. What do I do?

Please store your quiche in the refrigerator until ready to re-heat. We do not recommend re freezing your quiche after it has defrosted. Your quiche can stay in the refrigerator for up to 2 days defrosted before it needs to be re-heated and served.

There are ice crystals on the top of my quiche? Is that normal?

This is normal. You may brush them off if you desire but they will not affect your quiche if left on to bake off in the oven.

Once I have re-heated my quiche, can I serve it at room temperature?

Yes! Quiche can be eaten warm or at room temperature but do not leave it out for more than 2 hours.

I re-heated my quiche and have left overs. How do I store them?

Your leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days after you have re-heated.

Can I re-heat my frozen quiche in the microwave?

We do not recommend that you re-heat your frozen quiche in the microwave. Oven is always best.
