Veronica Eicken is the chef, owner and founder of Sonoma Scone Company. She is a Sonoma County native and has been cooking professionally since 2003. Since 2006, she has been a private chef through her company A Gift of Thyme. It is there that her love of baking and scones turned into a passion. Eventually, she was known for her delicious scones more than anything else, and to fulfill the persistent requests for scones from family, friends, clients and even some celebrities, Sonoma Scone Company was born.
Veronica graduated in 2002, with honors, from the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco. She is also the Estate Chef for Lasseter Family Winery, the Research and Development Chef for Lasseter Family Heirloom Farms, a regular guest speaker at the Culinary Institute of America at Greystone in St. Helena and a two time champion of The Food Network's Guy's Grocery Games. But more importantly, she is a wife to a wonderful man named Nick, and a mother of two gorgeous little girls (her esteemed and very discerning, official scone testers).
